Our goal is to have volunteer activities that will appeal to a wide range of people and we are always open to suggestions.

We are pleased to announce that several BCV members have offered to
be
ASL (American Sign Language) contacts for deaf or hard of hearing volunteers at upcoming volunteer opportunities. If you are deaf or hard of hearing and would like to volunteer, please let us know when you sign up
to volunteer and we will make every effort to match you with another BCV member who is proficient in ASL. BCV would like to make every effort to welcome GLBT individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. To this aim, we are asking BCV members who are proficient in (or learning) ASL to email us to "register" themselves as potential contacts for deaf or hard of hearing volunteers. Thanks to longtime BCV member,
Mary Koehler (who is proficient in ASL) for helping us make these arrangements.

Please email us if you need to know whether a volunteer location is
wheelchair accessible.
